Asalam Aalikum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatu
As a result of decisions made by our provincial government earlier this evening, all schools, including the Edmonton Islamic Academy are to close indefinitely. This is an unprecedented time and things seem to be evolving hour to hour.
Despite this, learning will not stop for EIA students. Although no students are to physically attend our campus, teachers will still be expected to provide instruction through online platforms. Over the next few days, we will engage in additional professional development and give teachers time to adjust to this mode of teaching and prepare their online lessons. I only ask for your patience and allow them this time to best prepare for the long haul. In the meantime, parents should look to ensure that your children have access to the internet and either a laptop, PC, or tablet. I will send a more detailed email in the coming days inshallah.
For now I ask that you discuss these new developments with your children and assure them that although things will look different for a while, we will all get through this turbulent time by the will of Allah, for it is He who is the ultimate protector.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
